The inn has 24 guest rooms of various types and sizes, all different but all pleasingly cozy and comfortable. No pets, please. One room is fully handicapped accessible. Eleven rooms are in the main 1884 inn, and thirteen are in the more recent carriage house conversion. Our room types are: king, queen, and twins; two rooms have two queen beds; two rooms have a queen bed and a twin bed combination. One room is a king-bedded suite with a sleep sofa, gas stove, and large screen television in the adjoining living room. High-speed wi-fi and phone calls within the US are complimentary.
A continental breakfast with fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt, juices, cereal, hard boiled free range eggs, house made granola, and delicious daily pastries are part of your stay, as well as afternoon tea and cookies.
Keurig coffeemakers are in both buildings for that morning jump start with either coffee or tea. We can fill your to go mugs from the kitchen where we have coffee on the hob from breakfast till night fall.
We have two guest living rooms with comfortable nooks for conversation and quiet time, a relaxed fine dining restaurant and a convivial full-service tavern open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with an extensive wine list, great single malts, 101 different martinis, and a variety of local and other microbrewery draft beers. We always use as much fresh, local produce as possible in our market-driven menus to support our area growers; besides which food from the farm to the table tastes better!

Standard King
These rooms are all in the carriage house on two floors. There are stairs only to the second floor. Rooms are all different in look and color; they all have a writing desk, reading chairs, and good lighting. They all have tub and shower, but for one which has a Jacuzzi shower and heated floor. |
 |
Superior King
These rooms are large enough to accommodate a third person on a rollaway bed. Two are in the main inn, the others in the carriage house. None of these rooms look alike, but they all have a writing desk, reading chairs, and good lighting. |
 |
Double Queen
Two queen beds with a couch for lolling. These queens can connect to a traditional queen to make a private family unit. |
 |
One Queen Bed, One Twin Bed
Good configuration for travelers with a third person. One of these rooms located in the main inn where there is an elevator, is fully handicapped accessible, including the bathroom. |
 |
Traditional Queen
One of our traditional queens has just a shower, while the others have a tub and shower. They have ample room to move around in, but there isn’t room for three. (Cannot accommodate a third person.) |
 |
Superior Queen
Perhaps it’s the light, perhaps it’s the colors, but these are our most popular queens, all of varying sizes. (Cannot accommodate a third person.) |
 |
King Suite
The attached living room has a gas burning fireplace, queen-sized sleep sofa, second large flat screen/DVD player, writing desk, and lovely light from large windows. A pocket door can close off the two rooms from each other. |
 |
Traditional Twins
Perfect for two people not burdened by steamer trunks. Two are in the main inn, one in the carriage house. The carriage house twins can connect to the adjacent superior king, so it’s a good match for families (Twin rooms cannot accommodate a third person.) |
