  I publish the GoNOMAD.com travel website and own the GoNOMAD Café in South Deerfield.
• Five things I love about the Deerfield and Pioneer Valley area:
  This area is the bluest of areas in the bluest of states, where people think the way I do, and value the environment, the important things in life, and choose to live where few of them make big money but most would never leave. It’s also gorgeous in the fall, spring and summer and in the winter it snows and it’s cozy around a fireplace.
• My favorite local hidden treasure you shouldn’t miss:
  The swimming hole down by Stillwater Bridge in the clean and free running Deerfield river.
• My perfect day spent in the Deerfield and Pioneer Valley area:
  Wake up and go have a latte at the GoNOMAD Café, read the papers, then spend some time with my girlfriend Cindy, take a long walk, play with my grandson Nathan, and after a nice dinner play poker with my buddies.
